Hi,

starting command _PURGE was able to purge the layer "forces1-finished".

I was also able to use layer-manager and delete that layer.

very interesting. now i am able to delete it too. i really could not delete it when i opened and closed the file few times before and i changed absolutely nothing in the drawing, i definitely did not delete anything that belonged that layer as i never found anything there, even when i was not able to delete it. anyway thanks to all... .

I also had no problem deleting that layer with PURGE in your file.

In other cases - More reasons for not being able to delete a layer can be:

An object using this layer is overlooked somewhere in one of the layouts.

That Layer is used in a block - even if the block is nowhere inserted in the drawing!
