Why are my hatches dysfunctional?

I linked my personal Pats folder to Autocad and when I select any of the hatches to be used, they are almost all dysfunctional. By this I mean there are little lines all over the place and most of the hatches show up as dashed. Has anyone seen this before? The blue hatch in the picture should be showing up clean.

Guessing: Your hatch origin is (too) far away.

Test: Change the origin near to the hatch.
