I am trying to work out the benefits to why in certain circumstances you may be required to use Illustrator rather than AutoCAD - I understand that AutoCAD is used for technical manors such as engineering where as illustrator would be used more creatively however I can give an example where illustrator has benefited my AutoCAD drawings.

for example if I had a Logo that was sent to me as a JPEG that needed to be used on a product, I would use illustrator to image trace the logo so it create a vector format?

So my question is to you would you ever use certain features that Adobe has to offer, to help benefit your projects in AutoCAD and if so can you give examples?

Hope this makes sense.

AutoCAD for production work.
Illustrartor for, well, color illustrations that aide the production team or for higher level overviews of the project in question.
