When objects and dimensions were created at a scale other than 1:1

Hello everyone,

I think I drew everything in my drawing at 3/16" = 1'-0" scale in model space view. Now when I dimension the dimension text when set at 1:1 scale, the dimension is very small. I know I can add annotative object scales to each dimension but they will only appear when I click on the dimension and I want the dimension to appear normal at 1:1 when I create the dimension.

I think I need to know what the text height in model space needs to be but projects can be any size so there is not one model space height used. Do I just pick a text height in the DIMSTYLE manager that looks good in model space keeping in mind what will scale to needed paper text height easily?

I think this is why I heard you are supposed to start in 1:1 from the beginning. Can someone help show me what a typical workflow involves and what is going on here?

Draw at 1:1 in model space, put the title block in paperspace and all text/dims/annotation go in to paper space at whatever height you need to have it be in the paper space. You will also put in a modelspace viewport at a particular scale so it fits on the title block sheet (whatever size you pick)

So do I have to redraw everything at 1:1 or is there a way around redrawing everything?

Use the SCALE command to scale everything back up to whatever dimensions they should be.
