Hi,

I have been using SketchUp often to model the desired space, furniture etc. and I have been using the 3D warehouse to add simple bits such as towels, clothing and such for a personal touch. I would then save the file as a DWG and bring it into AutoCAD to put on a sheet with measurements and details.

However, recently when I export as a view of a section from SketchUp and bring them into AutoCAD, the program shows all of the objects from 3d warehouse wireframe instead of just the simple outline of them - as soon as I export it without the section slice it goes back to just doing the outline?  This also happens for the past 3D warehouse objects I have used which I have never had a problem with before.

I'd export it without the section however, I can't get within the space in order to do so to show everything that I need.

Can anyone help? I hope I explained this well enough.

I've attached images of how the 3D warehouse items such as the rolled up towels look, they're full of polygons. (there are some hanging clothes in the back also, I never used to have a problem with them being so detailed as shown in the second image of just the simple outline of the hanging clothes instead of the outline of how it was shaped)

Thanks!

Hello @Anonymous,

AutoCAD offers the option to adjust wireframe objects by using DISPSILH system variable. Also review controlling the Display of Edges

Hi, thank you for the reply, when I use the DISPSILH it is already set at '0', even when I try to put it to 1 and back to 0 it doesn't change anything on the drawing?

Also, the second link tagged is coming up as an error with the link provided, so it's not allowing me to open.

SKETCHUP exporting support is over at TRIMBLE, they have a healthy forum community there too https://forums.sketchup.com/

Same for 3DWarehouse content.
