Visual Problem in a circle

I'm having a problem with my drawn circles. Some circles are showing with a fake trim! After my own investigation, I found that only circles inside a block definition with a rotation are showing the problem.

Other times, the problem will happen while I'm drafting a circle while the plan isn't aligned with the original UCS.

I'm using AutoCAD 2024, not sure about the version. I had AutoCAD 2022 before with no problems!

Further investigation and the problem appears to be related to hardware acceleration. When I set it to be off, the visual distortion is gone. I tried to set GFXDX12 = 0 and there was no change!

what if instead of setting hardware acceleration off you first try leaving it on and just change the 2d Display Settings from Advanced Mode to Intermediate?

That does work! However, I want to stay in the advance mode. I don't think this is a matter of heavily populated drawing. It's also happening with small size drawings!

Looks like your current graphics driver is not 100% compatible with AutoCAD 2024 in Advanced mode with Hardware Acceleration enabled which is why the only way for you to still use Hardware Acceleration is to change it to Intermediate. It's best not to work in AutoCAD with Hardware Acceleration off.

But you can try searching on-line at your graphics card's manufacturer's website to see if there's a later driver you can install to see if that would resolve this limitation

Btw when you set GFXDX12 = 0 and restart AutoCAD the GraphicsConfig dialog at the top should no longer show the virtual device as directx12 but instead directx11. Perhaps when you changed that setting before you didn’t restart AutoCAD?  If so try that now and when it shows directx11 change back to Advanced Mode and see if the circles look correct

I did try a restart and the problem didn't resolve!

Ok at least it works with intermediate mode. But again check out the Intel Iris website to see if there’s a later driver that might make advanced mode possible

This is the problem, it is the bare minimum for AutoCAD, so running AutoCAD at maximum may never be an option for you @imomani
