Viewport scale screwed up

Viewport scale screwed up

Hi there forum,

With the strong believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question, allthough this one might come close, the following questing:

I've made a 2d drawing of an model airplane fuselage of about 700mm wide with the intention to poster print this on A4 or A3 landscape paper. After I set up the page properties in the layout and create a view in it the drawing magicly seems to fit on an A4 landscape. So I guess there is something gone wrong with the scaling. I do need the drawing printed out on a 1:1 scale because I intend to build on top of the drawing.

I'm attaching the file in questing.

I did find other questions about the scaling of viewports... but I did not understand the answers. I would be very pleased if someone would be willing to help me out.

Peter

After you create the viewport you to select it and change its standard scale in the properties panel or at the bottom of the screen to your desired scale.

Hi,

AutoCAD does not have a function for poster print, you have to create your layouts with viewports by yourself.

To define the viewports scale select the viewport and chose the scale you need:

After that copy your layout. For each copy you can then use command _-PAN and pan the content of the viewport by the width or height of the viewport.
