Viewing a 3D STEP file

Hi all,

I am new to AutoCAD and trying to view a 3D STEP file. I have imported the data but now I can only see a 2D representation of my original figure. I watched a tutorial, where the perspective can be changed

however if I try to copy what I watched I can only turn the background grid.

Is the STEP file conversion causing the problem or am I using a wrong approach?

Got it to work myself. When I imported the STEP file the first time I had the 2D drawing option selected. Disabling it gives the 3D model.
