I finally updated to ACAD 2017 and migrated all my settings from 2016.
We do drawings using the VIEWBASE command, which gives us a nice, crisp drawing that has visible materials and is easily understood by our clients (non-engineers/drafters).
The problem is that when plotting (or publishing) to PDF in 2017, the sheets take easily up to 5 minutes each, and the PDF files are 10x the size they would be had they been made with 2016, and are not user friendly (very laggy to the point of being unusable, scrolling is a nightmare and the images in the PDF are constantly "refreshing" and loading).
I used 2016 to publish the same .dwg, and there were no issues at all.
PDF options were set to highest quality in both 2016 and 2017 (4800 dpi for both vector and raster), and like I said, never any issues with plot time or PDF quality in 2016.
Is there some other new setting I can adjust?
As of now, AutoCAD 2017 is practically unusable for me.
Thank you!
