Hi,

My contractor sent me a CAD file to view the 3D space and I'm confused how I'm supposed to open/view it in 3D.

The file is attached and you can see the 3D model in the top right, but it's 2D. I can see it's made up of the the two models below/to the side of it, but that 3D model in the top right has more details such as the window pop out. Is there a way to pan/view that model from a 3D perspective?

Thank you.

Greetings @gotbeefsir

Your DXF file only contains a flat line drawing, like I used to draw in high-school drafting class on paper with a pencil far back in the last century, there is no "3D model' in it. Reach back out to them to understand what they can and cannot send you.

Thank you. But you see how there's a 3D rendering in the upper right corner? That has nothing to do with this file?

Thanks again.

That is just a flat 2D line drawing as I stated earlier, you are too easily distracted by the look without the investigation perhaps. You and your file creator need to be talking about this 2D flat drawing, not us here.
