Using AutoCAD in the terminal session

Hello!

What kind of licence should I purchase to use AutoCAD in the terminal session under Windows Server 2012? I need 9 users to work simultaneously.

Thank you!

You want: Network License, Single License Server Model. Assuming 1 server, for 1 location, with many users. If you do a trial you can test different licenses for free. Here are free trials you may want to check out.

Is there any difference in pricing depending on the type of licence and the number of users?

Please clarify what you are trying to do - are you trying to set up a network license server to serve multiple computers?  Or are you trying to run this program using Citrix?

@Anonymous Depends on your financial situation. Are you looking for something cheaper in the short run or long run. What I shared is cheaper in the long run (overall). In fact you may receive a further discount from your local authorized dealer if you have proof of graduates in computing or people with AutoCAD certification.

I promise, and highly recommend that you test trials for licenses. If you get stuck in a contract you're not happy with, it will cost you.

We're going to use AutoCAD running on one server under MS Windows Server by multiple users simultaneously. Users connect to the server by Remote Desktop client. We're going to buy a full-time licence(s), not a subscription. As far as we see it would be one AutoCAD and several AutoCADs LT on one server. How does the licencing policy look like for this occasion? If I'm not mistaken, we must buy as many licences as the number of different users, no matter whether they work simultaneously or not and activate AutoCAD under every user. Am I right? By the way, do AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT work on the same server?

I suspect that configuration is specifically prohibited by the terms of use, with Citrix (and specific licenses) being the only means of server-hosted applications.  I *strongly* recommend you contact a reseller to get direct assistance with this.

The regular/non-Citrix programs aren't supported under Windows Server OS only the desktop versions.  They may run, locally, but may experience some bumps.

The reseller says that AutoCAD will work in the terminal session. We are not using Citrix, just Microsoft Terminal Services. Actually we are now running one copy of AutoCAD LT in the trial period to test how it works in terminal, but before this period ends we want to get licensing information.
