Using AI to make changes to dwg

I was wondering if this can be done:

To take two drawings and place them side-by-side and have AI distinguish all the differences between each drawing and combine them into one new dwg?

Basically, "AI, please concatenate all changes into one new drawing!"

I have never seen this done but would imagine it's a fairly simple task.

Hi,

in Theorie: Yes!

But why should you create a program what is already there?

You can COMPARE and you can copy differences from the other file..

AutoCAD's COMPARE command since version 2020, here is a link to it in HELP from the program for you to explore https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-4B96F5FD-C9CF-4E2E-996E-E00914F8D99E#:~:text=....

Like @cadffm @pendean has mentioned, COMPARE is an amazing tool. No need for Ai.

But seriously, when is autocad going to have AI capability so we don't have to waste any more time with the amazing tools like COMPARE?

You just don't understand what AI is.
It is created by man. And he himself cannot do anything.
If a person creates an algorithm in AI to compare drawings, it will be a copy of the existing team.

5-10-20 years from now, so nothing you can use today. Learn the program or find another that is more in tune with your easy-button needs, lots of good ones out there, just keep in mind everything has a learning curve.
