User Coordinates rotation

I'm hoping this is just a setting and not a "change for the better" that Autodesk has decided to implement. Typically we use "User Coordinate" systems when working in our drawings. So we rotate the UCS based on an object in the drawing, then do a ucs, view, plan command so my cursor is aligned with the drawing. the benefit of doing this was all my mtext, when at a rotation of 0 or E, was perfectly readable. The other benefit was when using grips on objects to roatate, it treated them based on E being 0 degrees from left to right acrosss my screen. Not sure if this is a change or i've lost a setting but now, when i select mtext while in my user coordinate system, 0 degrees is now typically what 90 degrees is and when i try to grip and rotate text, it starts with 0 degrees being 0 in the WCS.  this is pretty frustrating being that it's been this way for as long as i can remember. Someone please tell me this is a setting somewhere that has been changed.

Thanks

Glad it worked for you. That variable can also be changed in the UNITS dialog box by clicking on the direction box at the bottom and then changing the base angle in the pop up.
