Update PC3 file with new printer

Hi,

I have a problem with the plotting for DGW to PDF.

When I plot, the box appeared saying "Update PC3 file with new printer" and I have no idea how to solve it. I tried with add a plotter wizard also but it said "Heidi file not loadable". If anyone knows how to solve, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

You migrated from an older version when you installed your current new version, correct? This problem is in your new version, correct?

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Which version of AutoCAD are you using? Can you simply make a new PC3 using the AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation)?

Here is a thread that should help you to create the new configuration.

I have tried based on the video you have provided but it didn't work. When I tried to set up new plotter i got this pop up message (please see attached picture) and then the printer/plotter - properties was unable to click (please see attached picture).

Delete that PC3 file and create a new DWG TO PDF pc3 file using PLOTTERMANAGER command's Add-A-Plotter wizard (Launch it, then select My Computer, select Autodesk ePlot PDF ....).

Did you by chance use the migration option when you started using R2018?

Hi @Anonymous,

I suggest that you use the Windows Control Panel > Programs to perform a Repair on your AutoCAD. Then, use Reset Settings to Default to see if that allows you to add the PC3.  Please also check your user permissions. If they are too restricted you might not have the ability to create the PC3.
