Unit Symbol Changed from script input

I am at a loss trying to figure this one out.  I use a script to import notes and details to my drawing template.  For some reason, I am getting odd symbols (â€, Â).  â€ seems to be replacing the inch unit (").  Â is being added before degree (°) symbol & superscript text (²).

Is this a setting that needs to be adjusted.  Between different users, we are not seeing any consistency in the issue.

What font is in use in that DWG file? Looks like you ended up with symbols coded in that TTF font.

Can you test with other fonts, starting with an SHX then other TTFs like Times Roman perhaps?
Can you post your script here for others to test and confirm what ABOUT command shows to be your AutoCAd variant/version?

hi,

Reason is Very Simple.  always use Unicode while script

Degree = %%D

Inch  = \U+0022

 Square = \U+00B2

Thanks and Regards,
