Unexpectedely shut down-Autocad 2012

Hello,

I am working for a time with Autocad 2012 (as a part of a package that included Autocad 2012, AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2012 and Revit Structure 2012) in my latest laptop and suddenly it asked to activate again the program. I did that and since then when i am trying to open the program it does opens, but after pressing any button (window) of the Ribbon it causes a shut down.
However, when i write a command to the command line it works.

Any idea?

My computer is a Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK and it works with Windows 10 (64bit)

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

first at all: Windows 10 and AutoCAD 2012 is not a good combination, it's not a supported environment and every single update of the OS might stop AutoCAD from working at all.

For your current situation you might first test if AutoCAD itself can work ... create a new Windows user for your workstation (with admin permissions), then logon with that account, disable antivirus and start AutoCAD ... is it working now?

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

Well for the time, i changed the Workspace to the classic one (without the Ribbon) and it works o.k.

Maybe sometime i will try to do what you suggested and i'll tell you.

Regards.

ribbon issues have been known to be caused by the latest round of windows updates, which included an update to the .net framework.  You may be able to roll it back, but as Alfred posted, 2014 and below are not supported on Windows 10.
