Unexpected feature - Layer name

If i edit a layer name in the layer properties maneger, i can not add a comma "," the moment i type the comma Autocad 2012 add's a new layer !

If i CTRL-V a comma :

Sorry I don't understand really your problem/question !?

 

As you know some special characters are stricly forbidden into Layer Names, Block Names, File Names, etc ...

Try it.

 

Edit a layer name and type a comma. I expect a dialog if it's a wrong character.

 

But it makes a new layer.

 

So a unexpected feature.

If you use the command line version of LAYER you can create a list of new layers seperated by comma's that is probably where it comes from.

Not to mention that the collection of layers uses the name of each layer, and that collection is sorted, filtered, and searched using wildcard characters.  As anybody who works with databaes knows, using common filter/sort characters in the text to be searched make searching unpredictable.
