Underline text is doubling against a regular line

Hi all,

We use a block with attributes for view port callouts. We use %%u underlining text but on my computer the underline of the text doubles up against the line in the block. I  use AutoCAD 2016 and the font is sas.shx and the text type is attribute. Please see image.

1. you don't really need to underline any text unless it's really long, see image.
2. You're issue is simply a visual one: forced text underlines are not the same thickness or display alignment of LINE objects, it should print fine or you need to redesign your block to have a dynamic line you can stretch at will or remove the line from the block altogether and remember to leave a blank space of two if you all prefer to always for a %%U to all your text.

I agree with Dean:  ditch the text underline and make the block dynamic by adding a Linear Parameter with a Stretch Action to the line.
