Unable to open certain files with hatch patterns

We have four workstations in the office. Three team members are able to open files that contain plot sheets in paperspace, with multiple viewports lookin on an  xref'd file in modelspace. One of our computers cannot open these files - even though it is equal to the other systems in everyway. If we open the file on another system and freeze all of the hatch patterns and save, then the other system can open the file rapidly with no issues. The sketchy computer can open the source file with all of the hatch patterns visible in modelspace, with no issues. It just doesn't like displaying  the patterns thru viewports.

Our It tech went all through the system and could find no issues.

Has anyone out there experienced this issue? What graphic display variables would be the prime suspects to look at?

1. running audit / recover on the problem dwgs?

2. disabled hardware acceleration on the problem computer?

3. chk problem station has latest AutoCAD updates installed?

@vadehart If the one PC is identical to all the others... Your IT person can mirror a good PC into the bad PC to fix it. you should copy a working AutoCAD ARG profile for them to use too.

They can also try a new login for the user to test (a quicker fix than the above).

"checked" means nothing to us over here, but if you think that was good enough... Open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options/we...

OR if you can, start sharing DWG file(s) here, perhaps one of us also has a wonky PC that cannot open those files and we can try to troubleshoot it with you.
