Typing in a Dimension for Line Command Creates A Second Line

So, I have been noticing this when I am drawing in AutoCAD, but it seems that when I hit tab after selecting the first point for the line command, then inserting the length of the line, the system sometimes creates a secondary line that I did not dimension or try and create. I have a video of me going through the exact scenario; any and all help would be deeply appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

While Dynamic Input ( F12 ) is ON and you hit tab .. AutoCAD will move to degree info ( switch from distance to degree info area ) . I suggest to watch AutoCAD prompts while dynamic input is on and make sure that your input is right to a void such a problem .
