Turn off shift+middle click for orbit 3d

I searched the forums and couldn't find an answer or solution to this issue. I use AutoSprink and AutoCad daily. I use AutoSprink much more often than AutoCad. In AutoSprink, you use shift+middle mouse button to pan. In AutoCad, I accidentally press shift+middle mouse button to try and pan, and every time it freezes my computer and I have to wait about 30seconds for it to work itself out. It looks like the only solution is for me to try changing the keybind in AutoSprink and change my habit and muscle memory. I would really prefer if I could just turn off 3d orbit, as I will never use AutoCad for 3d, ever.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Try this method and let me know if it works.

Type CUI to open the menu editor.  Scroll down the navigatoin on the left side to find the Mouse Buttons. Expand that and open the Shift and Click. Select the 3rd button and modify as shown in this image.

Did you ever figure this out? Is there a way to do this for Mac? I work with Sketchup and Autocad together and need to disable this in Autocad. I dont use the 3d aspect at all.

Nope... but I no longer work with Autocad now! I switched to Archicad and my life is so much better now...
