Hi, I receive large cadaster plans from which I only need a tiny portion.

how can I trim and remove everything within a given rectangle?

I need everything outside the rectangle to be deleted.

Thanks!

If you remove everything within the rectangle and delete everything outside the rectangle, what's left?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

So those two sentences are the opposite of each other, have you settled on which one you want to do?

Are you familiar with ERASE command? you might need to TRIM and EXPLODE a few items that cross your rectangle.

Hi

1 - draw a rectangle

2-use xtrim and select the rectangle ,then click outside  the rectangle

it will trim all  2d line, pline, arc,....(for block you must explode the blocks)

@RobDraw @pendean right :cara_sonriente_con_la_boca_abierta_y_sudor_frío: I meant trim and erase everything outside. xtrim does much of the task

EXTRIM is the express tool name and it does still require you to go around the edge of your rectangle to erase content it trimmed but did not remove.
