Troubles with Gravograph Font (US Block 1L)

I'm looking for a way to get AutoCAD, specifically AutoCAD Electrical, to recognize the font used by the engraver.  The font US Block 1L is the one that works best when engraving from CAD files.  The issue is that ACAD doesn't seem to be able to use the file from the engraver as it is a CHR. file instead of a TTF or SHX and changing the file type isn't working.  Anyone know what can be done to make it work in AutoCAD?

Hi,

I don't have the font.

I also don't know what program generates "CHR"-files as fonts.

But I guess you know a software that is using or creating these CHR files? So please let us know that software so we can search for that or ask the software vendor if there exists an option to convert CHR to SHX (I doubt that TTF will help for engraving as these are filled fonts and not one-line fonts).

Alfred,

The company is GravoTech and the software is called Gravograph v8.0.  It is basically a simplistic CAD system for engraving and cutting designs in material.

Yes, you are right about the fill type fonts being a problem.

Hi,

>> software is called Gravograph

Thank your for additional information!

If I'm understanding the videos correct, they sell fonts, so I doubt you get some for free or you get exported versions for them.

So the only chance I see is to look for SHX-fonts in Internet, maybe you'll find a font that look like the one you are looking for. There exists a lot >>>click<<<

Sorry, - alfred -
