Trim command doesn't work on any polylines

Hello,

I am drawing using polylines in Autocad and the trim command stopped working. It doesn't come up with an error it just doesn't recognise the lines are crossing and doesn't give the option to trim. I have highlighted both lines and tried to trim. But then when I cross an elipse with a polyline I am able to trim the elipse with the polyline. But I can't trim the polyline with the elipse. It was working as normal and then it just stopped working.

Has anyone else had this problem and do you have any suggestions for fixing it?

I didn't touch any settings or anything and I have tried flattening my work in case I somehow rotated it and it has changed nothing.

Try using different setting for EDGEMODE, it could be on different elevations.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

What is the error message at the commandline? It needs to be taller than 1-line for you to see it.

I draw two crossing ploylines and select the trim tool, I drag a box around the polylines and nothing happens I am not able to trim any of the ends???  This tool is now totally messed up.  What do you mean they have to be on the "same level" This was Never an issue with earlier versions.  Put it back the way it was!

Nope, just two ploylines on a blank page.

@Anonymous then there nothing we end users can do about it: start a support ticket at your Autodesk Account page and see what else is on offer https://manage.autodesk.com/home/ (you want the ? icon to get started).

Are you, by any chance, working enormously far from the 0,0 origin?  People sometimes write in with various kinds of problems, and the cause turns out to be that they are at coordinate values such as 10-to-the-13th-power, meaning they're working beyond the orbit of the moon or something [I recall one involving distances multiple times the diameter of the entire solar system].

This solved my issue.  Somehow I was working 1:1 in some far out space.  Brought it back to 0,0 and all works as it should.
