Transferring toolbars from 2013

Once again we are going through the hell of upgrading a program that hasn't seen an improvement in 15 years. How do you get your custom toolbars to show up in autocad 16? I've already tried clicking customize and dragging them over. It doesn't work.

Toolbars are located in the CUIx file.  In AutoCAD type CUI, then in the TRANSFER tab you should be able to drag-n-drop the toolbars from the original CUIx file to the new one.  This is not working for you?

Thanks guys. I have already transferred it using CUI. It finally worked on the fifth attempt. Now all I have to do specify icons for the 50 or so custom commands since moving my bitmaps into the icons folder didn't cause them to show up.

Best practice is to use 'AutoCAD Supplied Icons' as much as possible, instead of custom icons.

This makes the migration process easier.

But if you do have custom icons, be sure they are placed in a 'supported file path'.

If you're organized and centrally locate all your customizations in server folders, and place these folders in AutoCAD's search paths, manual migration is very painless and AutoCAD finds all of those custom icons with little to no effort on your part.

I suspect you've skipped much preliminary setup before you started your importing processes. I can and did migrate an OOTB R2016 from a custom R2015 setup in less than 30-minutes. same from R2016 to R2017, R2015 from R2014, R21014 from R2013 and so on. You get the picture.

It's fixed. I don't know why it was being stubborn at first. Thanks
