Hello everybody!

Sorry for my english. :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

My question is...

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2021/ENU/AutoC...

In the link above describe how XREF Log File (xlg) function must work when XREFCTL is set to 1.
But...
In Autocad versions newer then 2012 (wich I can test) this function doesn't work as it describe in link above.
Everytime when i do some operation whith XREF's the information about this is write in *.xlg file whith erasing existing information in this file. In *.xlg file stay information only about last operation.

In Autocad 2010 and Autocad 2012 *.xlg file contain all infomation about operations whith XREF's. Information is adding to the end of *.xlg file, not erasing existing.

Does enyone know how make it work correctly?

Thanks a lot!

Once more sorry for my english.

Hi @LDR80,

Thank you for posting your question in the Forums, no need to apologize, your post was very clear. :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

I ran a test on 2017 and 2020 and am seeing that some or all of the previous content is deleted or overwritten when the file is updated.

Let me do a little research and reach out to the Product Team to see if there is an additional variable that might be affecting it. I'll plan to get back to you shortly.

All the best,
