Tool Palettes not Locking properly

Having trouble locking toolpalettes, it no longer behaves the way it always has, when setting files to read only.

All the Tool Properties are locked (greyed out), however I can freely move the location of each tool within the locked palette. On top of this the changes save on CAD exit & re-open. Same for other users.

Have tested in AutoCAD 2023 & 2024 with same results.

Anyone else run into this problem or can replicate it?

You're remembering wrong. It is working as you say and this is as it ever did.

Because: Onced created, the order can be edit/overwrite and is stored in your user profile workspace (profile.aws)

Have tested in AutoCAD 2023 & 2024 with same results.

Test it in the version you think of it working differently.

Noted. The lock symbol stated: Palette definition is write  protected.

Anyone else run into this problem or can replicate it?
