Tool Palette Bolt Behavior

I am not super versed with using the autoCAD tool palette and am having an issue figuring out the behavior of this hex socket bolt (side) I am inserting into a drawing. When I insert the first bolt I get the behavior I would expect. With OSNAPS turned on I am able to insert the bolt at a location in my drawing using intersecting OSNAPS and the insertion point of the bolt. When I try to insert a second bolt the behavior is different though. It is automatically deactivating OSNAPS when I hover over the insertion point and moving the bolt to random spots on my screen. I can see it’s highlighting lines and when I move the bolt to a location away from the side of the hole it will highlight the hole. I am unsure why this happens only for the second bolt though, and why I am unable to just use ONSNAPS to insert the second bolt. Can someone please explain this behavior? And is there a specific setting associated to this behavior?

I am running autoCAD 2024.1.2

@kristin.jakuszanek it appears you did not get a chance to review that new feature in AutoCAD2024 with tips on how to disable it if it does not work for you. Here is the link to your 2024 HELP, variables are listed in the bottom to disable it
