Titleblock attributes not appearing

Hello,

I have a block that has attributes of which are not showing in a particular drawing, although they do show in other drawings. You'll see from the snip what attribute should be showing in the title block. NOTE: I have entered some information and it still doesn't show

Battman- Invisible is off. All attributes are ON. Layer is ON.

Why would this template work in one drawing but not the other?

I've attached the drawing.

Hi,

  • Attdisp = ON .
  • Ensure the layer with attributes is turned ON and THAWED.
  • If the block or attributes are annotative, they may not be visible at the current scale.

Note: Don't forget to Regen your CAD data.

Try using BATTMAN command and pick the block you have the attributes in.

Then pick the SYNC command and Apply and Close. You never said that you hit the SYNC command.

Sometimes attributes are funny and tend to hide if you update them.

You can also change the order that you want prompted by the BATTMAN command.

Hope this helps!

JRR!

Hi,

no drawing file attached, just a picture.

Share your  dwg (delete all except your title, if you want), and we can show you the issue.

I'm with @imadHabash

I see the Attributes with black & white backgrounds. What AutoCAD version are you running?

Enter ABOUT command, do a screenshot & share this here.

Also enter GRAPHICSCONFIG command, do a screenshot & share this here as well.

Did you open this drawing up after attaching to this link? If not try opening it up and see if they appear.

Maybe with your XREF files working on your end, one of them might be covering something up.

Select all of your XREFs and UNLOAD them and see if your attributes show up.

Then it might be a Draw Order issues,.

Thanks, JRR!

Yes I did try. It's a block that is  inserted. I also tried getting rid of the block and reentering into the drawing. Still nothing.

If you are not abke to find and fix the issue,

share a stripped  .dwg and you get the answer in minutes

I see you're running DirectX11 but it's odd that it seems like you're able to select the toggle button for "Fast shaded mode"

What if for 2d Display Settings you selected Intermediate instead of Advanced?

Also do you have the latest 2023 updates installed which should be T.203.0.0 AutoCAD 2023.1.6

@nicholas.santorso2

Let me ignore one of your statements and let me ask: Do you have a romans9.shx ?

If not:

Command: FONTALT<enter>

remember the current value

simplex.shx<enter>

Regenall<enter>

Visible now?

Take a look at your drawing now. I ran Recover and Audit and found no errors.

But no one has re attached the drawing since we have opened it up so I thought maybe this may help.

But you may want to do Purge All. Your file size went from 8,840 KB to 191 KB.

I have uploaded both the Resaved No Purge and the Purged Files.

Let us know if any of this helped.

Thanks, JRR!

that's not good...maybe try resetting AutoCAD first and then try update again.

Hello @nicholas.santorso2

The problem seems to be with attributes. Delete all the title blocks in the drawing in which you are facing this issue and "PURGE" the drawing. Now open the drawing that I have attached and copy the title block into the main drawing. Do you see the attributes now?
