Thirty second lock-up after plotting

After installing two autodesk updates last week via the autodesk access application, autocad locks up for 20 - 30 seconds after plotting to PDF. I use the adobe pdf.pc3 file because the resultant PDF file always opens full window without all the shx "comments" junk to the right of the drawing that I get when I use the built in pdf.pc3 files. The PDF generates properly and quickly, but the plot job progress dialog stays on the screen for about half a minute effectively locking up the autocad application. I just tried the built in PC3 files & the problem is the same. This never happened before last week's updates. So, is there a way for me to uninstall these updates, or should I just wait for the imminent release of 2025 & hope this problem goes away with the new version?

There should not have been 2 updates for AutoCAD 2024 last week.

Were they updates that have been around for a while and you just decided to install them now?

Does your About screen now show U. 152.0.0 AutoCAD 2024.1.2?

If true, 2 versions back would be 2024.1 which came out way back in July of 2023:

You also mentioned:

"the resultant PDF file always opens full window without all the shx "comments" junk to the right of the drawing that I get when I use the built in pdf.pc3 files"

Perhaps you can do a screen capture or share a sample pdf from your adobe pdf.pc3 vs built-in pdf.pc3 to explain what you're seeing ?

They weren't autocad updates they were autodesk updates.

Here are the culprits

None of those updates should impact the AutoCAD app. Could it be a problem with your Windows Adobe printer driver?  Still waiting for a screenshot and pdf samples showing what you see differently when printing using one vs the built in

Did background plotting and publishing get turned back on by chance? That is what you are describing.

Otherwise, those updates are installed in our offices across 2022-2023-2024 versions of AutoCAD and no one is reporting any hiccups like yours.

Thanks for everyone's input. Everything is back to normal now after the installation of the autocad patch issued today.
