what is the best way to importing pictures to autocad  ? 

any guide will  appreciate

Hi @Anonymous,

 

I like to use image attach but this might not work depending on what kind of images you are working from. Map images and such will need to be attached differently. Can you give me an idea of what you are trying to incorporate into your files?

for example a logo or a map that you want to redraw over it ?

for such a purpose i think that attaching the image as an xref is the best way. from XREF palette command try to attache the image .

if i replaced or removed the pic in my folder it still remain in autocad by your way ?

Here is how to embed an image into the drawing without needing to keep it in the folder like a reference.

  • if you replace it with a new named image then the old one will disappear from your dwg.
  • if you replace it with a same name then it will replace the old one.
  • if you remove it ... then your image will disappear from your dwg.
