Hi,

I am opening few DXF files in AutoCAD 2013 and below are few things which I am observing and have questions.

In Style dialog box I have 2 different styles which specify "Monospac821 BT" as font, but when I navigate through these I see 2 fonts one as TrueType and other as shx.  See attached Style1Font, Style2Font, and FontList images.

Question are these fonts same?

Secondly, when I am editing text/mtext, on toolbar font selection I see two fonts as "Monospac821 BT" & "monospac821 bt", while the font list on ribbon only shows "Monospac821 BT". See attached TextEditFont, TextEditFontList1, and TextEditFontList2 images.

Question is why there is a difference in font list on toolbar and ribbon?

Again are these fonts same? and interchanging them will not affect font of the text?

Please let me know if I am missing something here.

Thanks in advance

regards,

Dhananjay

Nope: the former is filled, the latter is a streak of lines. That is how they are created.

Are you new to using a program like AutoCAD? I ask because of your questions mostly, you seem to lack some basic knowledge which we can help you gain if that is the case.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for replying. Maybe I am new to textstyle in AutoCAD. I am programmatically updating dxf files. Still i don't get is why I see font name twice in toolbar and one in ribbon when using textedit command. Also are these fonts same? Thanks for understanding my limited knowledge around these issues. Regards, Dhananjay
