Text properties missing in autocad

Hello,

I have a user who is having issues with the text properties missing. 

the formatting choices (in the orange box in the attached screenshot) 

Does anyone please have any suggestions as to how we might resolve this?

Sometimes the software gets confused and hangs up, I would trying Restarting the machine.  Sometimes too many font styles are in the drawing that aren't being used. Purge the non used out of the drawing and see if that helps

i suggest to right click on your Ribbon ( see below Red star) >> Show Panels . any changes ?

Try switching the workspace, (gear symbol, bottom right) then back. Hope it helps out.
