Text on Middle of Line/Polyline

Hi,

i want my text to be in the middle of the line with gap and i cannot find any solution for that.

see picture from Autocad

And in Plant 3D this is Possible

Can you use an MTEXT? Mtexts, unlike pain TEXTs, have a Background mask property.

If it's possible in Plant, then it's an enhanced entity. Plain text does not support it unless you want to put a black rectangle (wipeout) behind it.

I suggest to try Background mask as shown below for mtext .

Use Middle-Center justification, or in the case of plain Text, Middle justification may give you a position you like better, and put the insertion point on the Line/Polyline.  With plain Text, use the TEXTMASK command [read about it in Help for options in size, color, object type].  With Mtext, in the Properties palette you can turn on the Background mask, which also has options.

something more "Automatic" 🙂

and i cannot find how it is working i have lots of Lines it is P&ID
