Hi,

in case you plot with scale 1:1 ==>

  • Create a textstyle using font Arial.
  • Create a text with height 35 (in case your drawing units are mm)

How about printing this text to be 35mm on paper? What settings do I choose for A4?

Hi,

It does not depend on your paper format.

If you print 1:1 then you have to chose 35 as text height (as long as your drawing untis are mm

BTW: have you tried it? You can try to set it to 35, then print and measure (you can print to PDF too). Would have been faster than asking and waiting for an answer.

If you think your setting is correct and it does not work then please upload the dwg-file so we can see your layout, your viewport scale and your text.

I have tried measuring the height of each letter when I printed and it's roughly 25mm not 35mm, my scale is 1:1 and the text height is 35mm and in the options my units are also in mm's. I'm thinking it might be the print option e.g Limits, Window etc..

Hi,

as the layouts are default I guess you are not using layouts to plot (which you should, it's better than plotting from modelspace).

Looking to the modelspace plot settings: your setting is to plot NOT 1:1
