Hello,

I'm entering text into my CAD drawing using Single Line Text on the Annotation tab. When I enter text it enters and expands out to the left of the insertion point. I would like the text to enter to the right of the insertion point so that my text entries line up with elements in my drawing.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Good morning hwesley3,

I am not sure how you got it to do that by default! While in the Text, Dtext, or even Mtext, you can set the justification for your line or paragraph. Select Left justify and you should be set to go.

Please hit the Accept as Solution button if my post fully solves your issue or answers your question.

Hello Wes, and welcome to the Forums!

You are probably looking for DIMTXTDIRECTION (System Variable)

0  Displays dimension text in a Left-to-Right reading style
1  Displays dimension text in a Right-to-Left reading style

Check your variable to see what it is set to.

I hope that helps.

When you start the command,  type J for justify and then you will be able to change the insertion point to TR, MR, or BR. That will make the text go to the right.
