take the configurations of autocad 2016 to 2019 in another pc

the new tool to import configurations when migrating from autocad 2016 to 2018/2019 works well to have everything as it is, when it comes to the same pc.
How can I have the same result if I have a PC change and I want to keep all the configuration I had from the 2016 version to this new PC that I will have with version 2018/2019?

New Tool?

Are you simply saving your .cuix file and loading that to the new ACAD install?  If so you will do the same from PC to PC.

The .cuix file should bring all of your user interface look and feel to new versions but understand that sometimes new versions have some new elements that may not be the same as before.  There should be no significant things to point out from 2016 to 2019.

Command CUI

Use transfer tab to ensure all elemnts are similar in left and right panels.

Save your new .cuix file to an easy location.

Copy the new .cuix file to the new PC.

Use the transfer tab again to load the new file in the left panel.

Hope this helps,

Blaine

Perhaps exporting the profile helps you because the profile save many setting.

You can export your profile by saveing form the profile tab on the old pc in an arg-File

On your new PC you can import the arg-File. But it is a good way to save the existing arg-File.

Hope it help

I was referring to import customized autocad 2018 configurations.

Sorry for my misunderstanding of you using the migration tool.  I was explaining the CUI management while running AutoCAD.  The migration tool runs outside of AutoCAD and sadly I have never bothered with it.

Sorry I'm no help on that one.

The built-in migration tool requires both software to be on the same PC.
That's it.

You will need to perform a manual migration if you do not wish to install the old software on the new PC and all that is involved to move it from old to new PC.
