Table Cell Text on a Separate Layer other than the Table

I have a Table on a Layer (NOTES), and the Cell Text is on another Layer (DIMENSIONS). I'm trying to change the Cell Text to Layer NOTES, but I'm not finding a way to do this. I really hope I'm just missing something obvious.
