System variable changed .....

Hello, 

The other day something changed in my AutoCAD. Now when I pick a line a box pops up labeled "Selection". It shows me all the lines in the pickbox area if more than one is there. I have to select one in that pop up box before I can modify it. This just started happening the other day and I do not know how to stop it. can anyone tell me what changed so I can change it back. I have no need for that box and it just gets in the way. 

I am using 2018 version.

Hi @david_quist,  That is selection cycling.  You can turn it on and off with CTRL+w

You can also click the button on the status bar shown in pic below

User181 has the solution. Just to add. When you get the list of selections they are in order top to bottom from the front most object to the back most object. If you don't pick any of them and just act like the box didn't pop up it will use the top most object. If you try to delete a polyline and the selection box shows 4 polylines and you just hit enter it will delete the top one which is first on the list only.
