Sweeping shapes becomes misaligned to reference points

If I sweep a 1x1 rectangle along a line (arc or straight) with the endpoints snapped to the centers of two circles with a diameter of 1. In my mind from a top view the rectangles should align with the circle edges. This is however not the case and I can't seem to figure out why.

 

I provided an example .dwg to demonstrate my problem.

Hi,

can we get another drawing format , so we can open it . ( SAVE AS command as AutoCAD 2013 format type ) .

Hi,

you can get right and proper result ( see below image ) if you select Base point option then select the center of your 2d rectangle ( center of green circle ) then select your path to find that it set on .

Command: SWEEP
Current wire frame density: ISOLINES=4, Closed profiles creation mode = Solid

Select objects to sweep or [MOde]: 1 found

Select objects to sweep or [MOde]:
Select sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]: b
Specify base point: cen of ( here you can try any other osnap option that serve your issue )
Select sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]:
