.sv$ wont open

I found my .sv$ temp files in the C drive, I changed the extension to .dwg and nothing happened.  Another thing I noticed is in Windows explorer the extension on my autocad drawings don't show the .dwg, are these issues related.

Thanks

I would go ahead and set your explorer to show file extensions for known types. There should be under File->Options View Tab a toggle for "Hide Extensions for Know file Types". Make sure it is unchecked. The browse to see if the extension is in fact .dwg for the file you mentioned.

HI

if in the explorer the "hide extension" is on  you cant rename it  currently.

maybe your rename it with original extension  like this  "cadfilename.dwg.sv$"

if you turn off  the "hide extension" your file must be cadfilename.dwg

the icon should be changed .

by the way cheek the  file size,it must  to be same size  as your  main file ,not zero

Capture.JPG

you can open the second one  ,not the first one.

good luck
