Support file search path not keeping settings

Support file search path not keeping settings

Good afternoon,

We are working with AutoCAD 2019 and is not keeping the settings in the Options.

We added a new folder in the Support file search path and as soon we close and open the AutoCad again the settings disappear.

We have to add the folder all mornings. Please let us know what should we do.

Thanks,

Starting with the same AutoCAD profile the path is being added to?

Running any customization or third-party tools?

Running any registry tools, such as cleaners or restoration tools like Deep Freeze?

Was the program run at least once under the Windows user login with admin permissions?

We have several users using AutoCAD 2019 and only one is having the problem.

The problem started when we upgraded from 2017 to 2019.

We do not have any customization tool or registry cleaning running. And it was the last program running. Also, user has admin permissions.

reinstall 2019 for the one user, avoid migrating from 2017, see if the problem goes away.

Check any lisp routines that may be starting up on this machine that is different than the others. Check the autoload feature and remove if you find any.

Hi,

>> Also, user has admin permissions.

Just to make sure these are really used ...

  • disable antivirus software
  • start AutoCAD by right-click the icon on the desktop ==> start as administrator
  • now do your changes in AutoCAD for the support path
  • close AutoCAD
  • now look again into AutoCAD if the new support path is listed or not.
