Subtract Command not working

I created a main column drawing first in "Drafting & Annotation" then I switched to 3D basics so I could extrude my main column and subtract the 5 holes. When I select the Subtract command I selected what I wanted to subtract from, enter, and then the five holes I wanted to subtract. Every time I do this I get "No solids, surfaces, or regions selected" how can I fix this?

Hi,

From your screenshot it looks like you only have circles and not cylinders, so the message "no solids" is correct as command _SUBTRACT with a base object = 3D-Solid only can subtract an entity of same type. As a circle does not have a depth you can't use it this way.

You might try command _PRESSPULL instead of _SUBTRACT which could make it a bit easier.
