Strange 3D clipping in AutoCAD 2016, but not in 2015; possible bug?

Hi!

I am having some strange problem with Autocad model.

3D model of MEP came from AX3000 software.

Also, there are flat 2D architectural floor plans placed as blocks according to their Z values.

There are no external references of any kind.

When one floor plan is displayed (3DCLIP-ed) in AutoCAD 2016 I get a lot of 'junk'. It's actually not a junk, but unwanted pieces of the model.

I don't see them in AutoCAD 2015 or AutoCAD 2014. Older AutoCAD versions displays correctly.

As an attachment are two images comparing AutoCAD 2016 display and AutoCAD 2015 display with the same settings.

I cannot post my model here in public, it's confidential.

Any ideas?

Hi,

when you open the drawing in 2016, can you select the objects you marked as "unwanted"?

If so, what type of objects are these? (to be seen in the property window while the object is selected or by using command _LIST)

>> I cannot post my model here in public

Ok, but playing with the drawing will make it easier. So one chance would be if you delete all but the unwanted parts and show that drawing.

(Or if you can send the drawing via PM the send me a PM with your mail-address)

Hi Alfred,

thank you for your reply.

Guys from Autodesk contacted me about the issue. It was a bug or something according to them.

As I can see now, they solved it with hotfix for AutoCAD 2016, so now I cannot select them to tell you what kind of object they were and I can't recall what were they when I was working on the file.

I opened my file recently, and display was correct.

thanks, bye!

Good day,

My team just reported this issue.  Did you force the hotfix install, or was it installed AutoCADically?

Thanks for your time in advance.

Hi,

I think I have the same issue. Was the 'junk' arcs and circles?

Where do I find the hotfix?
