Some table formulas will not update

I have seen several threads about this, but no real solutions to the specific problem I am having. I use a table to convert imperial to mm where I type in the imperial and it automatically puts the correct mm below it. Since 2020, I have found instances where some of the tables will no longer update if I change the imperial value. I have attached a table for anyone to look at. If I look at the formulas in the metric cells, they are identical. The upper line will no longer update, even though if I open a backup copy from 3 days ago, the same rows did update at that time. The lower line was copied and pasted from a new template and it works fine. If you click on the formulas in the upper and then the lower, you can see they both are the same. If you type the formula from scratch in the upper line, it still will not update. But if you copy and paste the lower cells to the upper cells, the upper one will update. I have been using tables for as long as I can remember and this problem seems new with 2020. The problem also occurs in the Sq. Ft. column on the upper row but not the lower. Somewhere along the line, the table lost it's ability to update and calculate.
I have tried all versions of purge, audit, etc and nothing works. I have saved back to 2013 and also tried the same table in 2019 and nothing is any different. If you type in UPDATEFIELD and select the table, you can see that it is not updating all the fields. The only thing that works is to go through every line on every sheet and paste in a row that works from a different file, but that's a band-aid as opposed to a solution.
Any thoughts on this?
