Solid LInes have dashes

I am not an AutoCAD experts by anymeans but have been working with AutoCAD here and there for many years.  I recently downloaded the latest version of AutoCAD for my SurfacePro and I seemed to have ran into a problem when I open any drawing.  I am hoping someone can help.

When I open a drawing or start a drawing from scratch, all Solid lines have dashes.  I've tried chaning LTscales, MSLTScale, PSLTScale and no matter what I do all the solid lines appear to have dashes on the drawing.  The pecular part about this is that when I print the drawing, the print intself does not contain dashes.  The other boggoling feature is that if I change the linetype to a zigzag a dotted line or any other type of line, they all appear normal.  Only the Solid lines seem not to be solid.  Also only when I select an object does the object appear to be solid, other than that every line appear to have dashes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Type in the command GRAPHICSCONFIG and try turning off hardware acceleration.

Awesome!  That was it!  The Graphics Performance was out of whack.. I turned off the Hardware acceleration and the lines all became solid again.  I went one step further and turned on the Accelerator and turned one feature on at a time and it was the High quality geometry feature that was making my lines dashes.
