Solid Hatch not visible

Hello Everyone,

I searched these forums for the anwer, but couldn't find the solution for my problem.

I'm trying to create a solid hatch with 75% transparency.

The first few hatches everyting worked fine.

Now I have to hatch two rectangular surfaces and the hatch starts off as a pattern, so its visible.

But when I change the hatch to solid the hatch dissappears.

Also when I try to use "matchprop" with the other hatches these two hatches dissappear.

I tried using the commands 'fillmode' and 'fill' but nothing works.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Hi @Anonymous,  select the rectangle you are trying to hatch and look at the properties palette. Make sure that under misc is says YES after closed. You need a closed polyline for the solid hatch to work.

You can also solid hatch an area bounded by plain lines and arcs, but unlike other CAD software AutoCAD requires that the ends of adjoining lines *must* be located precisely at the same point.  In 2D you'll want to check that the line ends are all at elevation 0, and then if you're still running into trouble try using the zero-radius fillet command (hold the <shift> key while applying a fillet) to get all of the line end points to exactly align at each corner of the area.

I have the same problem, I did the Solid Hatches, then every time I close and repopen it, it's gone. I tried that above solution, but it didn't work. then I unloaded all the Autolisp in briefcase (Startup suite) (type AP Command). close and open again, then it worked! So, I guess that there is something to do with one of my Autolisp file. I would suggest isolate them one by one to see which one causing the problem. Cheers,
