Is there an AutoCAD version or add-on for X/Y coordinates  for smt part installation for pick & place machines?

Hi @Anonymous,

Do you have blocks of these machines or are you looking for an application or library that contains them? Please give me some more details.

I'm not sure what you mean & don't know how much you know about surface
mount devices but I'll try to explain it better. SMT assembly houses require
a file for their pick & place machines to mount components (resistor &
capacitors) to the pcb. This file tells them the XY location of the part
center to a specific point on the board, it's value and it's rotation. I
know AutoCAD isn't an intelligent software but I was hoping it would have
the ability to create a file or work with outside sources to create a file.
I hope this explains it better.

Thanks,

Bruce

Hi @Anonymous,

I gotcha now. I am not sure that Autodesk has anything that would work directly but you might investigate 123d Circuits or AutoCAD Electrical

I briefly looked into these sites & saw nothing of use. Thanks you for responding & I'll keep looking.
