I've got a fresh corporate deployment of Civil3d 2017, and am running into issues signing in to use the bing map feature on the company PC. I can sign in, but within a couple of seconds I'm kicked out. Civil3d is still running, but I'm unable to access the imagery.
Note that C3D 2016 is also installed, and that has no problems with logging in, staying in, and accessing/using the GEOMAP command. The issue is specific to 2017.
Can you sign in using Autodesk Desktop App. I have seen a case where Autodesk Desktop App asked user to agree on disclaimer before sign-in? Once you sign it you may be able to stay signed.
I hope this helps.
Since this is a corporate installation, the Desktop App is not installed, and almost certainly never will be.
I thought this had been resolved, (by doing a full uninstall, and re-install) but has begun happening again today. Any other suggestions?
the best luck I have had in the past is to sign in through A360 Desktop.
exit out of C3D
log into A360
Go back into C3D, it should stay logged in.
In some instances I've had to exit out of A360, then restart it from the start menu, sign in to A360, then start C3D

There may be a possibility of this issue: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/article/Keep-getting-signed-out-of-Autodesk-360
So instead of signing in from within Civil 3D (top left corner of the window), sign in straight from Autodesk 360 by double-clicking the Autodesk 360 icon on the system tray. Once signed in,then type GEOMAP on the command line to show the aerial images.
Try this too:
Almas,
Perhaps you can clarify what is needed for the Autodesk ID Sign In and the relation to the Geomap services in Civil 3D 2017? I have a user with a fresh build of Windows and C3D 2017 and I am battling this constant sign-out issue with C3D and the Autodesk ID sign-in (from within C3D). I have followed the instructions and rename\remove the Web Services folder and it fixes the issue. That is until the person closes out of C3D and gets back in with a new session. C3D then defaults to the same issue with forced sign-out within seconds of opening C3D. To resolve this for the session the user has to remove the Web Services folder again to make it stick for that session.
With the announcement of the A360 Desktop App expiring, I did not install the A360 Desktop App on this computer. Is that required to be installed for the Bing map service to work in C3D 2017? If so what is the version is recommended to install? (Windows 10, Civil 3D 2017)
Thanks,
Jeremy
I've been having issues and finally came up with a solution that seems to work for me everytime, without having to delete the xml file. I too had the same issue, as soon as I log in, it logs me right back out. Tech support was unable to figure it out, the only thing we could find was if I installed Screencast and logged into it, it would hold the log in within c3d. everytime it logs me out, I just logback into screencast. I havent had an issue since. One of the comments I made to Autodesk about fixing it is that we shouldnt need a 3rd party application to make it work. but it does work, and I need screencast anyway so it isnt that big of a deal, I never used A360 and didnt understand why I needed it.
you can download screencast here:

as for your question about A360, it really isnt necessary for geomap, the screencast app takes care of it. But if you do need to share on line, you want version 7.3.6 I believe for 2017 and below.

That worked great. Thanks.
Just wanted to chime in and say that installing the Autodesk screencast tool resolved the issue.
