SHORTCUT KEYS HELP.jpgI When I try to create a new shortcut key,

it is not possible to GET an

CTRL+ALT+letter  or  or CTRL+ALT+number

or CTRL+SHIFT+letter  or  or CTRL+SHIFT+number

or CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+letter  or  or CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+number

. . .

It SAYS that it is POSSIBLE

but IT IS NOT POSSIBLE !

At least for me !

CUI ->

KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS ->

...

here we find :

[Shortcut Keys]

and

[Temporary Override Keys]

. . .

- Shortcut Keys allows

  CTRL+something , CTRL+SHIFT+something , CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+something and more

- Temporary Override Keys allows

   only SHIFT+something . . .

- if I want create a NEW Shortcut Keys

I can COPY and PASTE an ITEM,

BUT the NEW ITEM, is not REALLY NEW, but only an INSTANCE . . .

. . .  If I modify the original, its copy is automatically changed and updated !

  . . .

  so the QUESTION is :

WHAT HAVE I TO DO, TO CREATE A REALLY NEW SHORTCUT KEY  ? ? ?

Because this will allow more KEYS COMBINATIONS

and NOT ONLY [ SHIFT + something ] (Temporary Override Keys)

  this is VERY IMPORTANT,

  because a GOOD KEYS CUSTOMIZATION

makes the WORK very FLUENT !

First thing you need to make sure the shortcut is not taken already. Some are reserved for windows and some are already assigned in AutoCAD. Some of the AutoCAD shortcuts can be found Here.

First you have to create the new command. (to create new commands review macros) once that is created you click and drag that into the short cut section and assign keys. If you are reusing a command click and drag that command into the keyboard short cut area.

Check out this screen cast where i create a command to insert a unit circle where the user clicks after pressing CTRL+SHFT+A

Thank you very much for your reply.

Frankly this afternoon, I understood by myself . . .

And I thought that my post was stupid.

However your video is useful.

And thank you again.

In the past I used

AUTOHOOK.

That allows ALT+something too !

Ciao
